off from Saadani National Park:
Day
1: Fly- in to Saadani from Zanzibar/Dar es Salaam
Pickup from the airstrip and drive to a Tent with
a View Safari Lodge for unpacking and short rest;
after lunch game drive in the park till late evening;
Dinner and overnight at Tent with a View Safari lodge
which is at Saadani National park.
Day
2: Boat and foot-walking Excursions
The day will be occupied with boat excursion to the
Wami River, which offers probably the best boat safari
in Tanzania. The river safari passes flocks of flamingoes
at the mouth of the estuary before entering the river
with its abundant wildlife and profusion of bird life.
After lunch proceed with foot-walking safari, with
unique experience of tracking giraffe through prime
bush before emerging onto a pristine beach.
Late afternoon return to the Saadani Safari Lodge
for dinner and overnight.
Day
3: Game Drive to the National Park
Early morning sunrise game drive till breakfast/lunch,
with large possibility of seeing the big five, lion,
leopard, elephant and buffalo, others are the rare
Roosevelt sable which is indigenous, whilst plains
game such as giraffe, zebra, wildebeest, eland and
hartebeest are more frequently seen in larger herds.
Afternoon sunbath at the beach; Dinner and overnight
at the lodge.
Day
4: Fly Camping in Saadani (New Experience)
Combines the excitement of experiencing the real African
Bush at night with luxurious camping amenities; whilst
try to retain all the qualities of camping under the
stars and also ensure that you are well looked after.
Cold drinks, freshly prepared meals, open air toilet,
hot shower, soap, towels, transport and a field expert
will be provided.
Day
5: Walking Safari – Dar Es Salaam
Breakfast at the flying camp, and then take a walking
for 2 – 3 hours with armed ranger to experience
wilderness of Tanzania. Return to the Camp; after
lunch drive to the airstrip for flight to Zanzibar/Dar
Es Salaam.
Mode
