Day
1: Dar Es Salaam. Arrive at Dar Es Salaam
International Airport and meet with our guide for
transfer to the Hotel for Dinner and over night.
Day 2: Dar/Selous Game reserve In
the morning Depart for Selous Game reserve through
road by 4 wheel-drive car. Arrive in the afternoon
at Rufiji River Camp for lunch. In the afternoon go
for a boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River. One
can see plenty of hippos, crocodiles and bird life
is prolific. Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River
Camp which is a tented camp situated in the north-eastern
part of the Selous Game Reserve on a high bank overlooking
the mighty Rufiji River and the plain beyondwhich
is located on the river just inside the reserve on
the eastern approach.The tented Camp is situated in
north eastern part of the Selous Game Reserve on a
high bank over-looking the mighty Rufiji River and
plain beyond.
Day 3: Selous game reserve. After
breakfast with your picnic lunch go for a full-day
game drive of Selous Game Reserve, Africa's largest
wildlife sanctuary, with an area of 54.600kms. Selous
is bigger than Denmark and 4 times the size of Serengeti.
It has the world's largest number of big game –
elephant and buffalo. It also contains wildebeest,
eland, giraffe, waterbuck, zebra, impala, hippo, leopard
and lion. There are about 350 species of bird life.
Dinner and overnight at the camp.
Day 4: Selous Game reserve After
breakfast, boat safari along the mighty Rufiji River.
Bird-life can be seen along the banks of the river.Lunch
at the Camp. In the afternoon go for a walking safari
- This safari allows an intimate impression of the
African bush and wildlife, which is unforgetable and
brings you closest to pristine nature. Dinner and
ovenight at the camp.
Day 5: Selous/Ruaha After breakfast
transfer to the airstrip for flight to Ruaha at 9:30
am. Arrive at Msembe airstrip at 11:30 then picked
to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon go for game
drive then back to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.
Mndonya Old river Camp is situated at the bank of
one of the tributary of Ruaha river and it is surrounded
with natural bush gives pasture to some of the herbivore.
The Camp provides comfortable accommodation and good
food while blending into its surroundings to enable
visitors to feel themselves a part of the wild. Both
the dining "Tent" and the bar, in good position
just at the bank of the river combine comfort and
coolness together with the most spectacular views
of the game.
Day 6: Ruaha National Park Breakfast
at the Lodge, Full day game drive in Ruaha National
Park. Ruaha National Park has the area of 10,300sq.km.
is the second largest park, and second largest elephant
sanctuary in Tanzania. The great Ruaha River which
flows along its entire eastern border, creating spectacular
gorges and scenery, features a large number of hippos
and crocodiles. The wide variety of animals include
Greater and Lesser Kudu, Roan and Sable Antelope.
Birdlife is rich, with over 370 species recorded (picnic
lunch on the way). Dinner and overnight at Ruaha River
Lodge.
Day 7: Ruaha National Park Morning
game drive then back to the lodge for lunch and proceed
with the late afternoon game drive. Today either in
the morning or evening you will probably see the big
predator on chase and killing of their prey. Dinner
and overnight at Ruaha River lodge.
Day 8: Ruaha / Iringa After breakfast,
Morning game drives short game drive in Ruaha National
Park Depart for Iringa. Get your lunch at Iringa then
en-route for Mikumi National Park. Dinner and overnight
at Vuma Hill or Mikumi Wildlife Camp.
Day 9: Mikumi/Dar Es Salaam Breakfast
then Game drive in Mikumi National Park, which is
rich in wildlife and contains buffalo, elephant, lion,
wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, impala and hippos.
Lunch at Vuma Hill or Mikumi Wildlife Camp Depart
for Dar Es Salaam. Arrival at Dar Es Salaam, in the
evening.
