Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania

Day 1: Arrive Arusha
Meet with our Guide in the airport and then transferred to the Lodge/ Hotel in Arusha town.

Day 2: Arusha – Serengeti Via Olduvai Gorge.
After breakfast start your journey to Serengeti Via Olduvai Gorge. In olduvai you will meet with the one of the Deputies of Antiquities, who will explain to you what has been done and what continues to happen. The Gorge was discovered accidentally by a German butterfly collector, Professor Kattwinkle, in 1911, but it was not until 1959 that Dr. Mary Leakey unearthed the Zinj skull believed to be 1.8 million years old. Enjoy your picnic lunch and proceed to Serengeti for Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Seronera.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Early break fast then go for full day game drive depending with the location of the Migration lunch at the lodge and proceed with the afternoon game drive. Overnight at your lodge with all meals inclusive.

Serengeti National Park is Classified as one of the main sites of the World Heritage by the UNESCO, Serengeti is the largest National Park of Tanzania (5,700 square miles), the oldest (created in 1951), and with good reason the most famous of Eastern Africa. His name comes from Masaļ dialect, meaning "endless plains". Serengeti savannahs, forests and immense plains, criss-crossed by many rivers with very fertile banks, accommodate the largest herds of herbivores of our planet: 1,5 million gnus, 400,000 zebras, 200,000 Thomson gazelles, which yearly migrations to water holes, followed by their predators, offer one of the most impressive scene of the world. Serengeti also accommodate immense herds of buffaloes, elephants and giraffes, bubals, imapalas and Grant gazelles, hippos.

Predators, drawn by these millions of herbivores, find there a perfect hunting land: lions (about 3,000 in the Park), leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and smaller predators like servals, are the lords of savannah and acacias woods. The safari you make there in special sun roofs Land-Rovers, one of the most beautiful one can make in Africa, brings you as close as possible of the animals, deep in steppes and savannas.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Proceed with the half day game viewing in Serengeti National Park then Back to the Lodge for Lunch and en-route to Ngrongoro for Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge.
Ngorongoro Sopa lodge is perched on the rim of the crater and surrounded with lash tropical vegetation. While at the lodge there is a magnificent view of the Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, descend into the crater for a half day game viewing. A picnic lunch will be taken on the crater floor. The crater supports up to 25,000 large mammals. Grazers dominate: zebra, wildebeest – accounting for almost half the animals – gazelle, buffalo, eland, hartebeest and wart hog. Giraffe, for example, stay away because there is insufficient food at tree level; topi because they compete directly with wildebeest. An odd feature of the crater elephants is that they are almost exclusively bulls. Breeding herds – comprising large numbers of females and young with a few attendant older males – are probably unable to find sufficient quality food in the crater. Ngorongoro has carnivores in quantity, drawn by the large herds of prey animals. It has the most dense population of large predators, mainly lion – about 100 – and more than 400 spotted hyena, living in eight clans of up to eighty individuals. Both lions and hyenas will scavenge from each other, depending on weight of numbers and of course, hunger.

In the afternoon depart for Arusha and spend your night at Impala Hotel. In the following day you will be transferred to the airport of to the shuttle stage for your bus to Nairobi.
